A higher Google AdWords quality score means you don’t have to pay as much per click to achieve your target position on the search engine results page (SERP). Here are four useful tips to help you achieve a higher quality score.
The above tips are a summary of Google’s Quality Score help files. Here’s an additional tip from the real world: If you’re new to Google AdWords or to a specific keyword, start off bidding very aggressively. The reason is, the very first item listed as a factor driving how Google calculates your minimum bid is, “The keyword's historical clickthrough rate (CTR) on Google.” Higher positions generate higher CTRs. So if you start off with a high bid and achieve a top position, you’ll create a history of high CTRs. In time, you’ll be able to lower your bid (maximum cost per click) and still achieve high positions and traffic volume. Of course, while you’re bidding aggressively, be careful about setting a reasonable maximum daily budget for your campaign. ### Related Resources:
