Hi Jariu,
Sounds like your product would be very helpful to employers.

If this is a new venture, do you have any existing customers to inform, or an active email list? I'd be cautious about purchasing a list of users to invite to test your site, as your prospective customers may interpret your overtures as spam.

If you're testing email elements, the size of the test will depend on what you're testing. For example, a test of open rates can be smaller (a few thousand, say) as opposed to a test on call to action in the email, since more recipients will open a message than click through on it.

That said, it sounds like you want to test the site itself. Depending on what you're testing, you may be better off focusing on a small group of interested people rather than soliciting a response from a larger group.

We are a start-up company about to launch a new product, a plug-in Career Site fpr small to mid-sied companies that includes on-line candidate screening tools. What would you consider the minimum number of recipients we would need as a test audience for our product.

Also is it better to test by industry, geographic location or just company size (# of employees)?
